GOING HOME

If I were to go home to my beginnings
Would I learn anything or would it be
the beginning of an ending?

You can't go home again, said Thomas Wolfe
Not the Tom Wolfe of fame and fortune
and weird takes on our modern /postmodern times

The other one - whose titles were good
and clear and demanded attention
and provoked thought

(Not any worse or better - I make no judgment
only less instantly relateable and meaningful
more like the NY Times crossword puzzle
to a person aching to find the clues)
